On Sunday, November 3rd, Wilshire Park Association's board members Lorna Hennington and Kat Becker attended the 2nd Annual Great Pumpkin Bash representing Wilshire Park.

The Los Angeles Board of Public Works and the Office of Councilwoman Katy Yaroslavsky representing the 5th Council District invited families and households to Pan Pacific Park for a smashing pumpkin event where families are encouraged to bring in their old jack-o’lanterns to compost and check out our pumpkin-smashing activities for kids/kids at heart while learning about other eco-friendly practices in the community. The goal is to raise awareness around the benefits of diverting waste from the black landfill bin to the green compost bin.
